Working days calculator
Find out when a job that takes a number of working days will finish, skipping weekends, public holidays and your own closures. You can also count the working days between two dates. Handy for quotes, schedules and telling a client when to expect the work. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
Contract deadlines, weather delays and similar terms follow your agreement with the client. This tool only counts days, skipping the days off you choose. It does not know about weather, deliveries or inspections.
Result
A holiday that falls on a weekend day is counted once, as a weekend day.

holidays is the cell range with your holiday dates. More in Project end dates in Excel with WORKDAY.INTL.
Calendar
Grey days are days off. The small number under each date is the working day count (1, 2, 3...).
Example
A 3-day job starts on Friday, October 9, 2026. Weekends are Saturday and Sunday, and Monday, October 12 is a holiday. Friday the 9th is day 1. Saturday, Sunday and Monday are skipped, Tuesday the 13th is day 2, and Wednesday, October 14 is the end date. That is 6 calendar days.
For a job that runs over the year-end break, add the closure dates to "Holidays and closures" and they are skipped. You can do the same for a client's or supplier's days off.
